Sergiy Maslichenko is an Associate Director at the Energy Efficiency and Climate Change Team at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. For over 11 years he has been leading the EBRD’s energy efficiency and renewable energy business development and policy dialogue in Ukraine and the Caucasus.
He and his team has developed a number of innovative programmes with climate finance such as Ukraine Sustainable Energy Lending Facility, Finance and Technology Transfer Centre for Climate Change (FINTECC Ukraine), IQ Energy residential energy efficiency programme, and contributed to signing of over 50 projects with EUR 1 billion investments in energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.
Sergiy was instrumental in setting up of the EUR 110 million Eastern Europe Energy Efficiency and Environmental Partnership (E5P) Fund initiated by the EU and Sweden to leverage over EUR 600 million investments by IFIs in the municipal sector.
Sergiy Maslichenko, an Ukrainian national, holds a Master Degree in Finance and Banking and got a PhD from Kyiv National Economic University and carried out post-doctoral research at Oxford University as Chevening/FCO Scholar.
