We aim to deliver risk-mitigated returns, while reducing CO2 emissions and promoting sustainable development.
We do this by financing renewable energy, energy efficiency and resource efficiency projects.
We finance projects directly and indirectly through 70+ local financial institutions and projects across 19 countries in EU Accession and Neighbourhood regions.
Launched in 2009, the Fund is managed by Finance in Motion (appointed as the AIFM) and was launched as an initiative of the European Investment Bank, the European Union and Germany’s KfW Development Bank.
