Advisory & Capacity Building
The GGF’s separately funded Capacity Building and Advisory Services enable the Fund to build upon GGF’s meaningful impact, expanding its footprint across markets, financial institutions, and businesses. Through this facility the Fund provides targeted technical support to its partners, including capacity building, training, impact monitoring, and strategic advice. This assistance helps financial institutions develop sustainable green lending operations, supports project developers and enterprises in implementing energy efficiency and renewable energy measures, and strengthens the broader green finance ecosystem in the regions where GGF operates.
How do we achieve this?
We provide tailored advisory services, specialized training programs, knowledge-sharing formats, and analytical support to advance sustainable energy finance in GGF’s regions of operation. Through long-term engagement with the Fund’s partner financial institutions, the Advisory and Capacity Building Facility supports the development and scaling of green lending products and strengthens institutional capacities in areas such as risk management, impact monitoring, and technical expertise. In parallel, we collaborate with key sector stakeholders, including regulators, industry associations, and market facilitators, to foster enabling frameworks for green finance, stimulate market development, and amplify the Fund’s climate and energy transition impact.
