BECOME A CERTIFIED GREEN EXPERT

This online course is designed specifically for GGF partner institutions to enhance their capacity in providing green finance to households, SMEs, and other eligible projects.

Hosted by the GGF Green Academy and Renewables Academy (RENAC), this innovative training will help improve the technical expertise of loan officers, credit specialists, sustainability teams and other professionals involved in the delivery of GGF credit facilities.

The online training combines modules on renewable energy (RE), energy efficiency (EE), resource efficiency (REff) and climate finance.

GfGF_Berlin 2022

Within the framework of the GGF Green Finance Expert program, 5 specializations are provided to meet the individual training needs of participants:


After completing the online training, successful participants are invited to a 5-day study tour in Berlin, which includes face-to-face seminars, exchange sessions and site visits to allow participants to deepen and exchange their knowledge, and to observe green and sustainable projects in practice. 

Time commitment and cost

The training takes place from October through May of each year requiring about 5 hours per week for studying.

The GGF Technical Assistance Facility (TAF) funds 100% of the tuition costs.
 

Who can apply

GGF Partners – representatives of commercial banks, leasing companies and microfinance institutions can apply for the online training. Trainees should have sufficient time and resources to dedicate to the training, and their level of English must be adequate to complete all modules and online tests.
